Rafael Portilho, began at the Brazilian Dance Hall in 2001, starting with a scholarship at the Centro de Dança Jaime Aroxa Tijuca, which shortly thereafter became Centro Cultural Conexão. After taking classes in various styles such as Samba de Gafieria, Zouk Brasileiro, Salsa, West Coast Swing and others, he had his interest aroused by Forró Pé de Serra the great success that the style began to have in the southeastern region of Brazil. He was professor of several School of Dance in Rio de Janeiro, such as Núcleo de Dança Renata Peçanha, Centro de Dança Anna Moura, Centro de Dança Alex de Carvalho, Luiz Valença and Ballet School Petite Danse. He has experience participating in several Dance Festivals, competition and choreographic shows, national and international workshops, both as teacher and student. He is currently responsible for the Forró é Vida, a project in the city of Resende where he has a team with classes to move the city. He continues as a teacher at the Escola Carioca de Dança, being responsible for the dances of Forró and West Coast Swing and also organizer of the event Forró na Chinela.
Daniela Dias was born in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil and always has been passion to dance, her main dance is Forró, where she has been practicing since she was 14 years old. In 2015, she felt the need to professionalize and study different types of dance, such as Samba de Gafieira, Soltinho, Zouk, Kizomba, West Coast Swing and others. Later, she began as a scholarship at the Escola Carioca de Dança at Rio de Janeiro, and began taking classes with several teachers, including Rafael Portilho, and became his dance partner 1 and a half years later, at the middle of 2016, teaching classes at dance inside and outside of Rio de Janeiro. Along with his partner, she has been developing a relaxed and charming way of dancing and teaching Forró. She believes that the role of the follower in dance needs to develop further and reach new heights. At the end of 2017, Daniela moved to Gottingen in Germany and plans to introduce Forró in the city.
